Abhishek - Idea Cellular Print Ad

After playing the role(s) of a man from amongst the masses in films like JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM and BUNTY AUR BABLI, Abhishek Bachchan has now returned as a tourist guide. He does so for a commercial though instead of a full length feature film.

In a mere 30 second duration which Abhishek gets for himself, he displays a variety of emotions ranging from buffoonery to confused to sentimental to happy-go-lucky to someone who loves his job to understanding and last but not the least being sympathetic.

Truly, one of his best commercials ever!

Rumours are that the stay of the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her husband Abhishek Bachchan throughout the shooting for the last schedule of Drona at Bikaner has more to it than meets the eye.

Buzz is Ash’s presence was more like she was there to guard her husband. She always reached the sets along with Abhishek, stayed there and left with him.

The reason for that allege gossipmongers is Ash does not appear to be too fond of Priyanka Chopra , who stars opposite Abhishek in ‘Drona’ and probability is that it flows from the fact that the two were linked during the making of Bluffmaster as the two had reportedly become very cozy.

Rumours continue that while at the sets, Ash tends to completely ignore Priyanka even while she exchanges pleasantries with the rest of the crew and apparently, Abhishek too tries keeping a guard when his wife is around.

This is not the first time that Ash has behaved strange with Abhishek’s heroines.

Rumour has it that she passed some not-so-favourable comments on her friend-turned-foe Rani Mukherjee during the shoots of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag .

It may be noted that Rani too was linked with Abhishek quite a few times and was also considered a frontrunner for the post of Mrs. Bachchan Jr before Ash won it hands down.

Bachchan Bahu will give her first post marriage stage performance this Thursday, but Abhishek won’t be there to cheer her on. But when Aish was approached with the act, it was Abhishek who suggested Aishwarya to do the act as he wanted his wife to sizzle in Salsa. So Ash has agreed to do a salsa for her hubby. She’s been doing the rounds for music releases, weddings and odd events with her father in law Amitabh bachchan lately but this one’s going to be solo act for Aishwarya Rai bachchan. The former beauty queen will give her first stage performance since tying the knot this Thursday at the JVV Marriott. But sadly, hubby Abhishek won’t be there to see her live performance. Ash will be putting together a ten minute salsa act to mark the launch a new range ,of beauty soaps she has been endorsing for some time now.. It is a reported that ash has been practicing the steps from the last couple of days with her choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and it is said that she is a quick learner. However, ash seems to be upset about Abhishek not being able to make it for the show. Abhishek Bachchan is out of town shooting for Dilli 6 and hence won’t be able to make it even for the music launch of the much hyped and much awaited epic film Jodha Akbar. Aishwarya who will jive to Latin America dance music, will most likely be dressed in a little black number for dance. This is not for the first time she is doing a tango, that too not long ago; ash and Abhishek performed a salsa number during her birthday bash on November 2nd. Denying widespread reports on Monday that Abhishek had bought a house where he intended to move with his wife Aishwarya, Abhishek says, "It is not true at all." Refuting reports that Abhishek Bachchan has bought a flat in Vashu Bhangani’s building pat opposite the Bachchans’ residence Jalsa, the producer-turned-builder turns emotional.

"I’ve never come across a more devoted son than Abhishek. Not even my own son Jackie. It really hurts me to see my name dragged in as a home-breaker. I shudder to think how I’d react if my son got married and decided to move out. Abhishek would never do that. As for buying an apartment in my building….arrey, he doesn’t have to BUY one. All he has to say is send him the keys, and it’s his. That’s the kind of rapport we share." Getting more emotional Vashu continues, "When I bought land opposite Amitji’s bungalow it was a dream come true. That’s why I named the building Pinnacle Dreams."

Once news was out that apartments were available opposite the Bachchans’ residence, Vashu had a tough time keeping the crowds of buyers away. "All the apartments in Pinnacle Dreams were sold out eight months ago. There’s no vacant apartment except one which I’ve kept for myself and that I’d happily give it to Abhishek anytime. But he hasn’t asked me for it! In fact, many interested people including Pritish Nandy have called to inquire about place in Pinnacle Dreams. Now I’m building a high-rise apartment in front of the J W. Marriott."

Vashu intends to return to film production this year, for his son Jackie’s sake. “My son Jackie will be launched by Vivek Sharma (who’s currently helming Bhootnath with the Big B for producer Ravi Chopra) in a film called Kal Kissne Dekha. The film starts shooting in June."

Bhagnani Jr’s leading lady is in the process of being finalized. One of the strong contenders is Vedika who’s done some South Indian films. Says the proud father, "I’ve been preparing the boy for six years now. He has been trained in every thing possible. But of course you can’t fool the audience. London, Jan 15 (IANS) Surrounded by fans, Bollywood actor Salman Khan unveiled his wax figure at Madame Tussauds here Tuesday.

Salman beat nine other Indian mega stars - including Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Lata Mangeshkar and Abhishek Bachchan, to win a place at the world famous waxworks museum after a public poll conducted last summer.

Salman’s statue stands in a special Bollywood section alongside those of three other Mumbai greats - Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan.

The museum hopes the installation of the new statue, reflecting Salman’s popularity in the West, will attract many more South Asian and British Asian visitors.

The heartthrob actor was measured and photographed by expert sculptors in Mumbai last October to kick-start painstaking work on his wax double. He personally chose and donated clothes for the figure to wear.

Salman, who has starred in over 55 films since his 1988 debut film "Biwi Ho To Aisi" made it to the central London attraction after beating off competition from Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Kajol, Lata Mangeshkar, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham.

More than 10,000 people voted in the poll to choose the "Next Bollywood Star" conducted last August.

Ben Lovett of Madame Tussauds said recently: "The Asian market is critical to our attraction and our association with Bollywood, particularly the launch of Shah Rukh Khan, has seen a dramatic increase in the number of Asians, from both the UK and abroad, visiting and enjoying Madame Tussauds. We hope to build upon this exciting relationship with the unveiling of Salman.
