Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, who has made exciting thrillers like Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddar, is upbeat about his next film, Happy Birthday starring John Abraham and Aishwarya Bachchan. With this interesting pair, Sriram has decided to shift his loyalties to love stories. We don’t know how easy this one’s going to be, but we do know that Raghavan had put on his thinking cap for quite a while before he came up with the title of the film. Ask him about his experience of working on a romantic film and he jokes, “As long as I’m saying ‘action’, I’m happy.” The trio - John, Aishwarya and Raghavan will work together for the first time in this film. Happy working, guys.

Move over Sagarika Ghatke, Bipasha Basu is here to kick up some sweat!

That’s right, Reebok India has signed on the fittest Bollywood star as it’s new face.

Bipasha Basu is unarguably one of the sexiest and fittest actresses in the Indian Film Industry today. She leaves no stones unturned to make sure that she stays fit and follows a strict regiment for that. No wonder Reebok has signed Bipasha to be it’s new brand ambassador. Bips seems to be very exited about this opportunity. She says, "I love the energy, the exhilaration and the passion of the brand. I believe in the brand attitude of ’I am what I am’. In many ways it’s me! And that’s what I have been drawn by and relate to so deeply and well, for that matter there couldn’t have been a better brand connect."

Bipasha - Race

Bipasha Basu loves experimenting with her hair and looks. This time the sultry bong beauty has come up with a stunning short bob in copper and reddish tones. Absolutely chic and classy, her first public appearance with the new hair do was at the MTV Hero Honda Roadies – Race event at Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, in Mumbai which really made heads turn. Accompanying the lady was Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan.

When Bips had a two hour session with her hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani, she ended up with a conventional bob. The actress apparently wasn’t satisfied with the look when she brooded over it after going home. So Bipasha was back for another two-hour session with Sapna the next day. This time the actress decided to completely hand over the reins to Sapna. The outcome – a trendy, classic bob – as Sapna describes it.

“Bipasha is one of those few people in Bollywood who love to experiment with their hair”, says Sapna Bhavnani. “Also, what works in her favour is the fact that her hair is luscious, thick and silky. Her attitude for style is unlike most of the other actresses who prefer to play safe with long hair. I am hopeful that Bipasha’s bob will become a rage among fans in the coming season.”

Nagesh Kuknoor

Though much is being talked about Nagesh Kukunoor’s EIGHT BY TEN (earlier titled TASVEER) due to Akshay Kumar factor, not many are aware that the film maker has also wrapped up a film starring John Abraham in the lead. Titled AASHAYEIN, the film is a Percept Picture Company film and also stars Shreyas Talpade, a regular with Kukunoor, in a special appearance.

AASHAYEIN is the story of a compulsive gambler (played by John Abraham) who discovers new meanings of fortune and life through some dramatic turn of events. The film is aiming for a release this summer. This would also be John’s next release after his moderately successful DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL which came towards the fag end of last year.

Meanwhile John would soon be starting to shoot for Sriram Raghavan’s next film which stars Aishwarya Rai as the female lead.

Very soon we will get to see John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai working together. Sources reveal that they were supposed to be working on two movies together. However, shootings could not take off as Ash had some date problems.

Reports reveal that John is pissed off with Ash’s attitude and decided to back off from one of the projects. The eight birthday of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA) was celebrated at a star-studded affair in Mumbai. Celebs present included PeTA ambassador John Abraham, Yana Gupta, Ravi Kissen, Raveena Tandon with husband Anil Thadani, Aditya Panscholi, Rahul Dev, Lascelles Symmons, Tisca Chopra and Urvashi Dholakia among others. Sandiip Soparrkar and Jesse Randhawa performed.

London, Jan 15 (IANS) Surrounded by fans, Bollywood actor Salman Khan unveiled his wax figure at Madame Tussauds here Tuesday.

Salman beat nine other Indian mega stars - including Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Lata Mangeshkar and Abhishek Bachchan, to win a place at the world famous waxworks museum after a public poll conducted last summer.

Salman’s statue stands in a special Bollywood section alongside those of three other Mumbai greats - Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan.

The museum hopes the installation of the new statue, reflecting Salman’s popularity in the West, will attract many more South Asian and British Asian visitors.

The heartthrob actor was measured and photographed by expert sculptors in Mumbai last October to kick-start painstaking work on his wax double. He personally chose and donated clothes for the figure to wear.

Salman, who has starred in over 55 films since his 1988 debut film "Biwi Ho To Aisi" made it to the central London attraction after beating off competition from Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Kajol, Lata Mangeshkar, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham.

More than 10,000 people voted in the poll to choose the "Next Bollywood Star" conducted last August.

Ben Lovett of Madame Tussauds said recently: "The Asian market is critical to our attraction and our association with Bollywood, particularly the launch of Shah Rukh Khan, has seen a dramatic increase in the number of Asians, from both the UK and abroad, visiting and enjoying Madame Tussauds. We hope to build upon this exciting relationship with the unveiling of Salman.
