Pakistani rock star Atif has shot for a promotional music video for RACE..

An Abbas Mustan film which so far has seen it’s publicity centered on the title song (the music video of which is currently on air), RACE has music by Pritam. To add a different flavor to both the film as well as music, Atif was roped in by Pritam to sing the track ’Pehli Nazar Mein’. Just like the songs from Anurag Basu’s LIFE IN A METRO, even ’Pehli Nazar Mein’ is set as a soft rock number and is a complete departure from the fast track title song which was heard so far.

Now Atif has faced the camera for the song as well and this is the second time he has done so for a Bollywood flick. The last time he did so, it was for his chartbuster track ’Tere Bin’ from the film BAS EK PAL.

The music video of ’Pehli Nazar Mein’ sees a stylish and zany treatment, just like the film looks in itself. Also notable is the edit of this video which has traffic ’racing’ past Atif as he gets all mushy and thoughtful while crooning this romantic number written by Sameer.

Kangana – Fashion

At a fashion show at Lakme Fashion Week in 2006, the top of model Carol Gracias’s halter neck dress came off while she was walking on the ramp, and her bare bust was exposed to the cameras and the audiences.

Bhandarkar has incorporated a similar scene in ‘Fashion’.

The scene shows Kangana Ranaut walking on a ramp and her top slips down.

Madhur Bhandarkar shot the boldest scene of his upcoming film Fashion at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios on Wednesday evening. The movie is Bhandarkar’s exposé of the fashion industry and the scene in question is inspired from a real life incident that took place two years ago.

While shooting the scene on Wednesday, Madhur kept minimum possible people on the sets. Kangana herself shot the scene and did not even demand for a duplicate.

Interestingly, model Carol Gracias dropped by to check out the shooting of the scene. Perhaps, she wanted to know how aesthetically the scene was being shot.

Anyway, the shot was canned without major hiccups.

Though the wardrobe malfunction was properly rehearsed beforehand, Madhur wanted to make it look as real and accidental as possible.

‘Fashion’ stars Kangana, Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse as supermodels.`

Kangana Ranuat – New Brand Embassador for Red Tape..

Salman – Red Tape Ad.

Kangana has been chosen by a leading international shoes company Red Tape to endorse their brand of footwear. So far the brand was endorsed by Salman Khan.

Says Kangana, "Until now they manufactured footwear only for men. And Salman was their ambassador. The company is launching its female lineup with me. And that’s quite an honour, considering it’s my first endorsement."

What made them choose her? "It was my my casual looks, I guess. The brand isn’t associated with formal shoes. Only sporty footwear, sneakers etc. They want me to endorse their shoes in my jeans and with my curly hair.

Very youth-oriented. And the fact that they expect my career to grow with their new female lineup of shoes makes the endorsement a bigger responsibility for me."

She recently shot spots for hoardings and magazines and will soon be doing a tv ad with Salman Khan for the brand.

Apparently Red Tape has paid Kangana a whopping figure and has promised to enhance the amount by thirty percent in the next financial year. " The shoes and my career are supposed to journey together.

It’s a good thought. I’m excited about the ad with Salman. I’ve always been his fan. I think he’s the only rock star in our cinema.

I had watched him dance at an awards function and thought I’d be paired with him one day. It’s happening sooner than I thought."

Hope her dreams come true soon..;)

Harsh Chhaya to play gay in ‘Fashion’

Harsha Chhaya – Fashion

Harsh Chhaya, who was seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate, will play a gay fashion designer in his next movie titled Fashion.

Harsh, known to experiment with all types of roles, plays a gay for the first time. It will be completely new from what his fans have seen him doing so far.

Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut are playing the female leads in the movie, which will delve behind the scenes of the flourishing fashion industry. Bhandarkar is co-producing it with UTV.

Interestingly, Harsh was not the first choice for the role as he was considered an actor with too serious an image. However, he was keen on the role and made an effort to get it.

’I just told Madhur to watch it for me, it did not matter if he cast me at the end of it,’ Harsh said.

Apparently, Harsh bought a wig, clothes that he thought would be appropriate for a certain look, wore make up, plucked his eyebrows in shape and then shot himself on a video camera. He edited the five-minute piece and presented the DVD along with some stills to Bhandarkar. In a couple of days, the role was his!

’I put in an effort to get a certain part and I would sincerely like to thank Madhur for casting me finally.

’There are very few opportunities like this available to an actor in the span of his career. I saw one here and I had to at least try to grab it for my own sake,’ he said.
