This one is a little hard to digest, but rumors are that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may not be part of Rajnikanth and Shankar’s Robot. The reason for this is that P. Vasu, director of Rajnikant’s mega-hit Chandramukhi is going through bad phase and Rajnikant has decided to bail him out.

Rajnikant will be starting a quickie for Vasu and has allotted the dates of Robot to him, which means Robot has been pushed from May to September. This leaves Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a dicey situation, as she is part of Bachchan’s world tour, which will take place at that time.

Nagesh Kuknoor

Though much is being talked about Nagesh Kukunoor’s EIGHT BY TEN (earlier titled TASVEER) due to Akshay Kumar factor, not many are aware that the film maker has also wrapped up a film starring John Abraham in the lead. Titled AASHAYEIN, the film is a Percept Picture Company film and also stars Shreyas Talpade, a regular with Kukunoor, in a special appearance.

AASHAYEIN is the story of a compulsive gambler (played by John Abraham) who discovers new meanings of fortune and life through some dramatic turn of events. The film is aiming for a release this summer. This would also be John’s next release after his moderately successful DHAN DHANA DHAN GOAL which came towards the fag end of last year.

Meanwhile John would soon be starting to shoot for Sriram Raghavan’s next film which stars Aishwarya Rai as the female lead.

Remember About the Previous Post: Aishwarya or Deepika for the Shankar’s much hyped project ROBOT..

So the final winner is one and only one Aishwarya Rai, read this –>

Aishwarya Rai has reportedly signed the prestigious Shankar film with Rajinikanth, tentatively called Robot.

Our sources insist, the deal was officially signed yesterday afternoon, around 3.30 pm. “The contract was sent to Janak (the Bachchan bungalow in suburban Mumbai) for the Bachchans’ approval, and it was duly signed,” says our source. But that’s not all. Aishwarya Rai is allegedly charging a whopping
Rs 1.5 cr for the film, which was initially meant to be a SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer. The amount, needless to say, will be some sort of a landmark, considering no Rajini heroine has ever commanded such an astronomical fee so far. Shriya Saran was allegedly paid Rs 30 lakh for Sivaji.

Meanwhile, there seems to be some controversy around the title of this film.

Well, we all know the deal with tax exemption on movies with Tamil titles. So if you were wondering if Shankar was going to stick with Robot and incur the extra expense, you were wrong. The director has announced that Robot will soon be given a different name – a Tamil name at that. Since the movie is budgeted at Rs 120 crores, it makes absolute sense to cut these extra costs.

Shankar has also mentioned that this movie of his, being a sci-fi adventure, will depend largely on the visual effects, which may require a lot of time. But for Rajini fans, time won’t be an issue because Kuselan will be out later this year to keep them well entertained.

Shooting for Kuselan will start in February and the movie will hit screens post-June. Shooting for Robot will commence in July and the movie will hit the theatres, Well, let’s wait and watch.

Jodhaa – Akbar

If rumors are to be believed, Anil Ambani’s Reliance is buying Jodhaa Akbar for Rs 90 cr from UTV. Reliance is planning to distribute the film, which has been delayed for the longest time.

Though no one is ready to confirm the development, trade circles are buzzing with this news. Insiders are even going to the extent of saying that the deal has already been inked. And it seems like UTV is heaving a sigh of relief, as the film is not carrying favourable reports within the trade circuit.

As for Reliance, it is said that they have been meaning to make a foray into Bollywood for a long time now. And Jodhaa Akbar, with its impressive star cast looks like a perfect film to start with.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Jodhaa Akbar is set to release on February 15 and stars Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai and Sonu Sood among others..

Very soon we will get to see John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai working together. Sources reveal that they were supposed to be working on two movies together. However, shootings could not take off as Ash had some date problems.

Reports reveal that John is pissed off with Ash’s attitude and decided to back off from one of the projects. Till date there are rumors mingling that Deepika Padukone has been selected as one of the heroines in Shanker’s much hyped Project ROBOT ,opposite to superstar Rajnikanth.

From yesterday there are also some rumors that Aishwarya Rai will also be approached in a couple of day’s time and if she gives a nod, deepika will miss the golden chance. Some time back it is said that Aish was approached to act in the recently released film Sivaji-the boss, but due to some personnel reasons Aish had to back out of the project and in placve of her Shreya of south film industry was offered the role.

But now it is confirmed, that Aishwarya is seriously considering the role and if at all every thing goes fine ,then the gorgeous ,recently married beauty will be seen opposite to the superstar.

Meanwhile, it is said that deepika is also being considered as the main lead, and if in case Aish accepts the main role then, shanker has tailored deepika as the second female lead.

But whatever the matter is, deepika with her latest fame OSO has definitely achieved the celebrity spot in short span of time.

Let’s hope that without disappointing the two actresses, shanker features the two beauties opposite to Rajnikanth in his next project titled Robot..

Denying widespread reports on Monday that Abhishek had bought a house where he intended to move with his wife Aishwarya, Abhishek says, "It is not true at all." Refuting reports that Abhishek Bachchan has bought a flat in Vashu Bhangani’s building pat opposite the Bachchans’ residence Jalsa, the producer-turned-builder turns emotional.

"I’ve never come across a more devoted son than Abhishek. Not even my own son Jackie. It really hurts me to see my name dragged in as a home-breaker. I shudder to think how I’d react if my son got married and decided to move out. Abhishek would never do that. As for buying an apartment in my building….arrey, he doesn’t have to BUY one. All he has to say is send him the keys, and it’s his. That’s the kind of rapport we share." Getting more emotional Vashu continues, "When I bought land opposite Amitji’s bungalow it was a dream come true. That’s why I named the building Pinnacle Dreams."

Once news was out that apartments were available opposite the Bachchans’ residence, Vashu had a tough time keeping the crowds of buyers away. "All the apartments in Pinnacle Dreams were sold out eight months ago. There’s no vacant apartment except one which I’ve kept for myself and that I’d happily give it to Abhishek anytime. But he hasn’t asked me for it! In fact, many interested people including Pritish Nandy have called to inquire about place in Pinnacle Dreams. Now I’m building a high-rise apartment in front of the J W. Marriott."

Vashu intends to return to film production this year, for his son Jackie’s sake. “My son Jackie will be launched by Vivek Sharma (who’s currently helming Bhootnath with the Big B for producer Ravi Chopra) in a film called Kal Kissne Dekha. The film starts shooting in June."

Says the proud father, "I’ve been preparing the boy for six years now. He has been trained in every thing possible. But of course you can’t fool the audience. If Jackie isn’t good he’ll be rejected."
