Shilpa is the sexiest yogi the world has ever seen.

So after actress Shilpa Shetty, it was the turn of actress Mallika Sherawat to turn up for yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s yoga camp in Mumbai this Friday. The actress accompanied by her brother came up at 5am to the Baba Ramdev yoga camp.

Yoga has always attracted Celebrities- be it for mental peace, physical healing or just to keep fit and in shape.

“I’ve always wanted to learn pranayams from Baba Ramdev and now this wish has come true,” says Mallika.

While Mallika did not wish to be photographed, Baba discloses why the sex kitten paid him a visit, “Mallika said that she would learn about mind and the soul later. However, she wanted to learn yoga to improve her body and get the glow on her skin. And even if she’s learning yoga with that intention, it’s still great.”

The yoga shibir has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. There has been some amount of debate on the contents of his prescribed medicines. Other Bollywood personalities who paid Baba a visit include Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Shekhar Suman whereas Hema Malini and Reena Roy are expected soon.

It’s becoming a trend for the films coming from the house of Subhash Ghai.

Earlier it happened in case of BOMBAY TO BANGKOK when the film’s release got delayed only to eventually hit the screens on January 18th. Now BLACK and WHITE, a film which is directed by the showman himself, has been pushed forward by a good three weeks. Earlier all set for release on 7th March, BLACK and WHITE would now be coming on 28th March.

In the hindsight this appears to be a good move as 7th March release was nothing less than suicidal. Beginning of March marks the kick start of school/college exams when students shy away from theaters. An offbeat film, BLACK and WHITE relies heavily on youth to help it make a mark at the box office.

However, 28th March is also not a date which really gets the film in a comfort zone. That’s because it follows RACE (21st March) and faces JANNAT (4th April) in weekends around it. All eyes are now set on the D-day to get the picture clearly in ’black’ or ’white’!

RACE has already been voted as the No 1. Hottest film to look forward to in cyberspace.

In a recent poll on which movie’s popularity is decided based on the surfing patterns of millions of users, RACE was voted as No 1. film as it eclipsed other high profile forthcoming films. The ranking determines the popularity of movies, indicating a high level of public awareness and interest in that film.

RACE, produced by Ramesh Taurani (TIPS films) and directed by master of the thriller genre Abbas-Mustan, is touted as one of the slickest thrillers in Bollywood. The promos, which have an international feel, have already created quite a buzz in the industry.

Boasting of the star cast comprising of Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy, RACE is slated to release in March 2008.

A new action thriller by Producer Kumar Taurani & Ramesh Taurani of Abbas-Mastan in January, 2008. The king of thriller movies Abbas-Mastan’s new adventure is ‘Race’ which is shoot out in the location of Cape Town, Durban (South Africa) and Mumbai.

It has stars like Anil Kapoor, Akshay Khanna, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Sameera Reddy and Katrina Kaif.

Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif worked together in the film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. Actress Sameera Reddy is opposite heroine for Anil Kapoor and before her Mallika Sherawat in it but she dropped the film and Sameera signed for it.

Actor Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna did work together in ‘Dil Chahta Hai ’before that. In the film Akshay Khanna and Saif Ali have in the role of half brother and Katrina Kaif is a personal secretary of Akshay Khanna who loves him. But both love an approaching model Bipasha Basu in Cape Town. Anil kapoor is in the role of detective. Finally a murder mystery grown up and strange incidents take a place in the film like Abbas-Mastan other movies. Now have to see what will different in the film from other movies. About Race actress Bipasha Basu says that it is her first comedy movie even it’s an action thriller movie and she waited for its release. Pritam is the music director or the film.

In just 21 days off release, Welcome has grossed Rs.100 crore in India and Rs.21 crore internationally (UK/Ireland, USA/Canada, UAE, Europe, Australia and Asia pacific)

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kapoor, the present hit mascot of bollywood has again rewritten the history .the Indian Film Company’s release Welcome, produced by Firoz A Nadaidwala and directed by Annez bazmee, marketed and distributed by Studio 18 ,has become the highest grossing Hindi film comedy film of all time worldwide, according to a press release statement issued by the Indian Film Company.

Last year after Deepawali, Om Shanti Om collected a sum of approximately 90 crores in 4 weeks and that record was struck in just few weeks by Akhi’s Welcome.

This is just 3^rd week collection and according to Firoz.Nadiadwala it is hoped to cross 150 crore barrier in its 6 weeks collections.

This whole credit is given to Akshay, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal.thsse guys made the silver screen of all the cinema halls rocking and Feroz is sure that the same combination of Star cast is going to be repeated in his next comedy flick which can be expected to be released early Next Year

The most interesting part of this splintered comedy is Mallika Sherawat’s con woman character, whose agreeable coquettishness is applied to the love lives of two goofy gangsters played by Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, both on the look-out for a suitably noble bridegroom for their pretty sister Katrina Kaif.

Between the two leading ladies, Mallika definitely has the spicier, livelier and more animated role. Mock-romancing Kapoor and Patekar, Sherawat doesn’t quite bring the house down.

However, she’s funnier than some of the brainwaves that pass off as comedy in this brain-strain of a film, like the climax that has all the characters cramped in a wooden shack perched in the middle of a yawning precipice.

Honestly, it isn’t just the precipice that’s yawning by the time the climax screeches into sight.

Feroz Khan, the most senior don of the loud loutish lot of mobsters, is led to believe that his son is dead.

A good 20 minutes of the script goes into Anil, Nana, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar running helter-skelter pretending Feroz’s son is dead when in fact he is running around the cremation ground trying to attract his intellectually-challenged dad’s attention.

Laughing in the face of death is a wonderful thing. We saw the death-defying drollery occur earlier this year in Rahul Rawail’s comedy ’Buddha Mar Gaya’.

Writer-director Anees Bazmi does the festive farce with more finesse. The narrative avoids crudity most of the way even as the goofball antics of the characters gets progressively outlandish. Cars break into two halves, guns go off in the wrong direction and the actors look more crazed than people in a mental asylum.

Yawn. Another comedy. Another day in the long history of films from Bollywood struggling to make the audience laugh.

But how do we bear with this one beyond a point? Sure we giggle a bit at the outset. But we don’t really get to see the comic aptitudes of Bazmi develop beyond a cluster of gags and skits beaded together in broad strokes of crude satire.

Akshay Kumar manfully allows Katrina to rescue him from a fire but who can rescue us from the raging flames of ennui that envelope us as we watch talented actors make fools of themselves?
