Arshad Warsi as Ballu
His red Ambassador taxi is just like him – bright, optimistic and full of beans. He has no hassles about stuffing too many tourists into his taxi or giving a lift to a strange, giggling girl in the middle of the night. What does bug him is when the girl disappears without paying him his fare.

Irrfan Khan as Kumar
Kumar is Ballu’s bum chum and budding actor. He can play lawyer, Ravan, Dracula, don at the drop of a hat. But when he meets a girl who claims she’s a dead woman, he drops all his acts and scoots like hell.

Storyline

A dead body found floating in a lake… Unexplained scratch marks on her neck… Supari killers out to kill her… A taxi driver who yells ‘bhoot, bhoot’ every time he sees her.

Seher is at first amused, then mystified and then terrified when she realizes she has a connection with all these totally unconnected incidents. But she cannot remember anything.

Seher’s fiancé Rajvir Randhava is convinced that she is innocent, but he is also equally sure that she is linked to everything. But she cannot remember a goddamn thing.

Then another dead body is found. And the bracelet found near the dead body belongs to Seher. The evidence is mounting and all fingers point towards Seher. And still, she cannot remember a darn thing.

Is Seher really as innocent as she claims to be? Is she a dubbing artiste by day and a serial killer by night? Is her bubbling charm but a mask that hides her darker and menacing self?

As Sehar desperately fights the fog that clouds her treacherous memory, ACP Rajvir has to fight the fact that the woman he wants to marry may well be a murderer and worse.

What if one day went missing from your life?

‘Sunday’ also features cameo appearances by Esha Deol and Tusshar Kapoor .

The movie has six songs (apart from remixes), each one composed by a different composer. Of all the numbers, Sandeep Chowta’s title song “Missing Sunday” is the best.

Produced by Kumar Mangat and Sunil Lulla, ‘Sunday’ has been shot in India and Australia. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty.

‘Sunday’ is slated to release on January 25, 2008.

The cast of Rohit Shetty’s movie Sunday pulled an unexpected prank on actress Ayesha Takia recently.

The film, a comedy, has Ayesha playing a central character who becomes the prime suspect in a number of murder cases. In keeping with the film’s lighthearted theme, her co-stars from the film decided to play a prank on her recently.

Ayesha was given an invitation for the special screening of the film at Pixion Studios in Bandra. She decided to attend the event with her mother Farida.

But when the actress and her mom turned up at the event, the security guys did not let them through. They told Ayesha that she and her mom were not on the list of invitees.

On top of it all, the security guys looked at the daughter-mother duo with suspicion and insisted on checking their handbags.

Ayesha just could not believe all this was happening to her. She immediately called director Rohit Shetty , but to no use. Frustrated, she was about to walk away from the venue when Arshad Warsi showed up with a 100 watt smile on his face.

Cameras of MTV suddenly appeared from their hiding places and Arshad revealed to Ayesha that she had been made a bakra.

Ayesha took the prank in right spirit and joined the others in laughing at herself.. :)

Ayesha Takia – I have not watched Taare Zameen Par and am ashamed about it..

Ayesha-Takiya-Loot-Liya

We have all seen Ayesha Takia in different roles in various Bollywood flicks. We have even known about her ambitions and plans as an actress. Here we present a different Ayesha Takia who talks about music; her likes and dislikes.

Q: What’s playing on your iPod these days?

A: Since I am doing a lot of workouts these days, it’s mostly Trance and Techno music on my iPod now.

Q: Of the recent films released – Taare Zameen Par, Khoya Khoya Chand, Welcome and Dus Kahaniyaan, which, according to you, has the best music?

A: I would say that the music scored in all these films are great. While the music in Welcome is mind blowing, I liked the music in Khoya Khoya Chand too. I have not watched Taare Zameen Par and am ashamed about it. I have heard that the film as well as the music in this movie is tremendous.

Q: Which are your five all-time favorite songs?

A: Come on, this is too tough a job. Nevertheless, I will try. I like all the songs in Lamhe and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. You may choose any song from these films. I also love the song in Dil - ’Khambe Jaise Khari Hai’. I like the song so much that I have watched the movie at least 50 times in my childhood. I honestly don’t know why. Again, I also like the title track ’Soncha Na Tha’ from my film Socha Na Tha. Besides, these I am also fond of the Krishna Cottage song ’Soona Soona Lamha Lamha’.

Q: What type of music soothes your mind and which ones irritate you?

A: For me music is fun, and it all depends on my mood. My liking for music changes according to variations of my moods. If I am in a trance mood, I like Trance music and when in a rocking mood, I prefer Rock music. And there are times when I also listen to Sufi music. (Smiling) As far as irritating music is concerned, I must tell you that the music my sister prefers is really irritating. She keeps the door of her room open and plays loud Rock music. This is really irritating for the entire family and whoever hears it.

Q: Is there any music that makes you dance as you hear it?

A: I personally like ’Hip-hop’, ’Rock’ and ’Trance’ music a lot. At the same time, I am very fond of the song ’Loot liya’ in my film Sunday. It is a hilarious as well as jamboree kind of a song usually associated with the immersion of the Ganapati.

Q: Which is your favorite romantic song?

A: Once again I need to mention the title song in Socha Na Tha as I like this song very very much. At the same time, I also like the song ’Jeena Kya Tere Bina’ from my movie Kya Love Story Hai.

Q: Do you prefer remixes or original songs?

A: It is a simple fact that remixes are made from original songs that have more value to any music aficionado. The idea behind making remixes is to make a hit song a hit again. The two are different and they offer a different kind of fun. I like both.

Q: According to you, is the music of the day better than that of the yesteryears, as good or worse?

A: No doubt, the music of the yesteryears was far better. These days anything passes off as music and can you imagine the riot when all these are played together!
