Sail Ali Khan With Kareena Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan will be jamming with rock band Parikrama on a four-city concert across Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata this month. CNN-IBN’s Rohit Khilnani caught up with Saif hours before his concert at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore on Friday night. The actor also spoke about his much talked about tattoo for his new ladylove Kareena which was visible on his arm as he rehearsed for the concert.

Saif Ali Khan: We have done a concert before in Delhi. So, am quite familiar with the whole thing. We are performing a total of eight songs on Friday night. There are four concerts – one in Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. So, it should be a good experience.

Rohit Khilnani: Do you have any favourite songs that you always play?

Saif Ali Khan: There is Smoke in the Water by Deep Purple. Then some AC/DC numbers like Highway to Hell and Back in Black .

Rohit Khilnani: When you perform in front of a live crowd you are not camera or stage conscious, but how is it different from your usual performances?

Saif Ali Khan: Music is a fantastic way to connect. It is a hobby for me. And when you play in a group especially with different loud notes on the electric guitar and the keyboard it is a really exhilarating feeling. Anyone getting pleasure out of that is fantastic, but I get a lot of pleasure out of playing it.

Rohit Khilnani: You got a tattoo done.

Saif Ali Khan: Yes, I did but I am not going to show it to you.

Rohit Khilnani: Is it a permanent one?

Saif Ali Khan: Yes, I believe it is quite permanent.

Rohit Khilnani: Great, so best of luck for all your performances.

Saif Ali Khan: Thanks a lot.

Abhay Deol’s fantasy has come true. The actor, who played a guy who fantasises about Yana Gupta in Manorama-Six Feet Under, is actually dating Aftab Shivdasani’s ex-girlfriend in real life!

If sources are to be believed, Yana and Abhay are in a steady relationship since the past two months. Although the two had initially decided to keep their relationship a secret, they seem to have changed their minds and thrown caution to the winds.

An industry insider says, “Yana and Abhay are often spotted together at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. They also attended veejay Yudhishtir’s birthday party in December together.”

Although one has not heard Abhay getting into any serious relationship, his name has often been linked with Saif Ali Khan’s sister Soha Ali Khan. Abhay was also seen going out for a movie with Neetu Chandra of Garam Masala fame.

A source says, “This time, Abhay looks more serious. He is moving out with Yana very often these days.”

Yana is a divorcee. She was married to Indian artist Satyakam Gupta and changed her last name from Synkova to Gupta.

Aftab was very serious about her and they were in a relationship for nearly two years. If sources are to be believed, Aftab had moved out of his parents’ home when he was dating Yana. The Czech beauty had even been working with an interior designer to get her house ready so that Aftab could move in with her, but the relationship fizzled out before Yana’s new pad got ready.

What is actually going on in the Chopra household? Just when you have been waiting for tid bits of the Aditya-Rani wedding to resurface, comes this bit of news.

Aditya Chopra was spotted the other day, having dinner at a cosy restaurant with his — hold it—’legally wedded wife’. They looked pretty happy together, says an eye-witness. Now, given that Rani and her family has been vehemently denying all rumours of the romantic liaison between the actress and Aditya, one wonders if it is actually over between the two?

The industry in fact, is split right down the middle. With one group swearing by the impending ’wedding’ (in February, no less), and the other rubbishing it. "The divorce has not even come through, and the Chopra seniors have too much of a hold over the son, still," say the latter.
